Three simple steps to your perfect video
Step one
PRE-PRODUCTION: After a chat to establish what kind of video you need and what you want to achieve, Blue Ice Media will produce a script that ticks all of the boxes. Once you're happy, the final, approved script is produced. This is a 'paper version' of your film.
STEP TWO
PRODUCTION: Blue Ice Media bring cameras, sound and lighting gear and shoot to your approved script. Clients are encouraged to get involved in this process, as nobody knows your business better than you, but Blue Ice Media can also handle everything for you too. How long this stage takes depends on the number of shots, interviews and setups required, but for most business videos that are 2-3 minutes long, shooting lasts for at least one day.
STEP THREE
POST-PRODUCTION: With all the footage captured, the film is edited at our studio. We'll also add graphics, and may do some additional filming, such as studio product shots. Voice-over and music are added at this stage. Post-production usually takes 1-3 days, depending on the project.
Once the film is complete, it is uploaded to a private channel for you to view. Once you're happy with the film, Blue Ice Media do a final stereo mix and master to optimise the soundtrack to broadcast standard. Then the final version is uploaded for you to check and you are sent a master copy for you to use on your website and social media channels.
Voiceover services
Many documentary-style videos require voiceover narration (V/O), and both Jon and Andrew are highly experienced at producing top-quality results. With just the right balance of tone, inflection and vocal colour, they'll record and produce a voice track that will engage your viewer and get your message across. If Blue Ice Media is producing your video and either of their styles of delivery is suited to your film, then there's no additional charge for V/O services from Jon or Andrew.
If you'd prefer to do the V/O yourself, or use a member of your organisation, then we'll be happy to direct the performance and record the V/O as part of the production process. Alternatively, if you'd prefer to use a different professional voice artist, then we'll be happy to arrange this and direct the performance. Fees vary dramatically for V/O services, but for a pro voice artist, costs for the artist, studio and direction start at around £200 for a 2-minute script.
